Handling the pop-up keyboard

What methods do people use to handle the pop-up keyboard and
other SIP mechanisms such that the control the user wishes to enter
data into isn't hidden by the keyboard.

I know this is a common subject and I am plowing my way though
the archives but I am hoping that someone may be able to point me in
the direction quickly with a simple solution.

I actually understood all that. What I was looking for was do people use
special techniques for the ReThinkControlsDisplay. I have read of people
using forms within forms and scroll bars etc and I was wondering how all
that worked and whether any generic mechanisms had been designed/written
