Why does Halo check the cd key when trying to LAN between
my three computers here at home? I expect it to check the
keys when joining online servers. Does Microsoft want me
to purchase three diffirent copies just to playon a LAN
at my own home?!? Any help is appreciated in advance.

That is correct. You're attempting to have three different players on three
different computers play the game. It doesn't matter if those computer are
lined up on a kitchen table next to each other or in London, New York City
and Los Angeles. They're still three different computers run
simultaneously.

Just get a halo keygen and setup as many as you like.

Do a google.
