hacker?

Today my Windows wasnt automatically starting up, it was
asking me to log on on the welcome screen, so I checked
the accouns and there was an extra account there, it
was "(something)Machine....A" , or something to that
effect. I meant to write it down so I could be more
specific in my post, but didnt. all I know is it wasnt an
account that was set up by me. Has anyone else had this
happen?

"ASP.net machine a...." look familiar to ya, from what im reading it is
apart of microsofts .net service. i posted a same question earlier today. my
question is what will it effect if that acount is deleted other than the .
net service that i dont use any way?

It is my understanding that some programs are making use of .net already and more will be. Personally I would leave the account there.

Open Help and Support | type » .net « found 15 technet links.

To edit the account open Run | type » control userpasswords2 « HTH.

You can have your system boot straight to the desktop after applying this
update by doing the following:

Click Start | Run and type in "control userpasswords2" (no quotes) and hit
Enter. Uncheck the box that states "Users must enter a user name and
password to use this computer"
