Hello everybody,

I heard that there is around "something" able to "transfor" a M.Wind.
Xp home ed. into a pro ed.

Could anyone tell me if it's true or it's just a myth?

I am most interested in the possibility for the home ed. to be
connected to a windows nt server domain, etc.

many thx

You cannot turn xp home into xp pro without buying xp pro and upgrading.

Myth - if want to use XP Pro, go out and buy a legal copy of it.

No, it's not true, unless you're talking about the XP
Professional upgrade CD. You can certainly buy and use that.

please post back and let us know what business you are in.
what products/services do you sell?
thanks.

If you really believe that...I have a bridge in NY that I'd like to sell
you.

Greetings --

Myth. While a WinXP Home machine cannot be made a domain
member, it's still possible for a properly authenticated user to
access domain resources from a WinXP Home PC. He/she merely has to
enter his domain user name at password for each connection.

Yes, there is a "hack"...take your Credit Card to your local software store,
find the pretty blue WindowsXP Pro upgrade box, take it to the register, and
hand the box and your card to the nice person working behind the register.

The only legal method is to get a Windows XP Professional Upgrade CD
from a computer store. Says its for Win98,ME,NT4 or Win2000, but also
does XP. And is quite expensive.

Anything else you are offered is a pirate product

Or save the password in Control Panel->Users->Manage my network passwords.

Thx folks for help!!! Now I can use home ed with nt net/

All right for the legal copy...always!!!I honestly agree...

Bye Bye
