find a lot of free lessons and advice on the web.

There are also many other resources available via internet.
Newsgroups about guitar playing are valuable places where you can ask
questions.

Midi versions and Tab versions of all popular songs are playable via
your soundcard and can also be displayed as sheet music.
Sequenser programs are available for composing and recording music.
