GTA San Andreas does not work. please help

saeedy

From 1st jan onwards(consider as a new yr gift) gta san andreas, which
was running perfectly till then, stopped working. somewhere around 9
in the morning, i went to some website, and the computer suddenly
restarted automatically.
it was an error message that says "Windows has recovered from a
serious error".

Since then gta sa stopped working.
when i double click on the gta sa icon, it seems like working in
background for a few milliseconds, and then the normal cursor comes
back and the game does not get open.

i tried start->run->and the file name, there was no use.
i tried start->run->dxdiag>sound>>and then basic acceleration, then
also, the problem persists.

i use amd sempron 2800+, asus motherboard with 64mb video memory,
192mb ram.

please help.
thanx.

Hi saeedy,

Since that problem just started happening recently, try a System Restore.

How to use Windows XP System Restore:
