Grouping Data in Report

I have a report based on a query.

I used the wizard to make the basic report, but then I'm moving a lot of
stuff around to make it look the way I want it to.

I have several layers of grouping.
My problem is that I want some fields to show up in the group headings, even
though they are not the "group by" fields. Ie. I'm grouping by project
number, but I want Project Title and Project Award amount to show up in the
heading for Project number.

That piece works fine, but lower down in the tree, I am grouping by trade,
and while I can get Trade Contractor to show up just fine, I cannot get the
trade conrtact award amount to show up at that level. It will show up just
fine at the detail level, but it seems convinced that it won't work at the
trade level.

Any idea why? Or how I might be able to fix this glitch.

Is it a numeric field? Just a guess, but you could try
=Sum([contractawardfieldname]) in the Trade Contractor footer section.
