Group Policy and Sharing Resources

I need help with a Winodws 2003 Server. I believe a Group Policy is preventing me from seeing the domain when I want to add a user to a shared printer resource. I have attached a printer to a users XP Professional workstation. I shared the resource and now I want to assign users who can use the resource, specifically a win98 machine. When I try to assign users from the Domain, I can only see the local computer and can not access the user accounts from the domain.

Does anyone know if this is a Group Policy preventing me from performing this action and if it is, what is the policy so I can change it.

If it is not a Group Policy, does anyone know why I can not see the domain / users when I try to grant permissions to this shared resource.

Hi there

This doesn't sound like a Group Policy thing at all. It's either going to
be a DNS issue (but you would have had trouble doing other things as well)
or it will be lack of permissions. By the latter, I'm asking who you you
are logged in as on the XP machine.

FYI, there are some Windows Server 2003 newsgroups at
microsoft.public.windows.server

Regards

Oli
