Group policies are not always applied

Hi,

A few days ago i've installed a w2k server in the network and promoted
it to a domain controller. This is the second dc in the network. Now
it seems that the Group policies are not always applied to the client.
I used the command "gpresult" and found out that when the policy is
applied from the second DC the policy-settings do not work at the
client. Can anyone help me with this?

Are all patches and service packs installed on the second server?

run a netdiag and dcdiag to verify the health of th DCs
run gpotool to ensure that group policy objects are in sync on the DCs
