Gridlines in cells

I have a user using Excel 2003 - there are about 5 cells
that do not show the gridlines. Not even the background
lines. No matter if I turn the gridlines on or off. I can
put a border around these cells but it doesn't look the
same because they are borders....not gridlines. Does
anyone know how to fix this?

I have opened this same workbook in Excel XP and the
lines are not there. Help!!!

Thanks

Hi Gladys,
Can it be that these cells have been given a white fill? Select the range
and use Edit|Clear->Format
