in Word XP when I was making labels, I clicked on "show gridlines" and the
boxes for the labels I was making appeared. Now in Word 2007 I click on
gridlines and nothing shows. How can I set up these gridlines in Word 2007
Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing: When the cursor is
in the table of label cells:
(a) You should see the table handle -- a small square with a 4-way
arrow inside -- and clicking that should select the whole table. If
you don't see the handle, or the Table Tools ribbon, there may not be
a table there.
(b) The Table Tools ribbon should be available, and one of its
sub-ribbons is labeled Layout. The "View Gridlines" button is in the
Table group at the left end of the Layout ribbon. Is that the one
you're clicking? (There's another, at Page Layout > Arrange > Align,
but that's for a different set of gridlines.)
Also, is it possible that the table's borders are set to white instead
of None?
