How do I remove all of the grid lines outside my bordered area of data?
How do I prevent shading of the cells in my area of interest from
over-writing the internal grid-lines?
Is there a page that discusses this subject?

TIA

Gridlines are either on or off - all or nothing. You cannot have them on in
just a particular area. What you can do is to turn gridlines off and use
borders on the cells just in a particular area. You will find that borders
(as opposed to gridlines) do not overwrite shading (unless, of course, you
use the same colour for the lines and shading!).
