Grey bars in Print Layout view

Recently Word has begun showing grey bars in each corner of the Print Layout
view that act as a "frame" for the page. I don't know what they are and find
them completely annoying. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? I
haven't been able to figure it out. I have Windows XP and Office 2003.

It sort of looks like this but imagine them symbols as lines:

They're the result of having an East Asian language enabled. See

Magnificent! I don't know how on earth I got that setting enabled but that
fixed it right up. Thank you so much!
