Green Progress Bar

The green progress staus bar in the bottom left hand corner of the browser, that appears when loading web pages, has vanished (although it is still there for other users (I am running Windows XP Home))!

Unfortunately I cannot work out out how to get it back and it is driving me nuts!!! I know I will kick myself if I work it out, but in the meantime - any suggestions????
