grayed area

I have about 10 sheets in a work book, excel. The nine work sheets I copied
and pasted below the first sheet so that I had them all vertically (this
makes the numbering a little easier), are all grayed out. They do not accept
any command at all, including page break preview. What do you think may be
causing this?

Maybe you're in page break view, and you have a print area set for the
first page only.

To clear the print area, choose File > Print Area > Clear Print Area
