Graphics not displayed

Dan Frazier

When using Internet Explorer with Windows 98 on a DSL
connection some web pages (CNN Homepage, for example)do
not display any graphics. All I get is a red "X". I have
only recently experienced this problem after months of
browsing without incident.

The same problem occurs when using my Yahoo browser as
well.

I uninstalled all Yahoo DSL programs but the problem
persists.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I am getting the exact same thing. I just recently got a
DSL, I am running Windows 98, using the Yahoo browser and
I get the red X or a script error message. I have
downloaded the supposed fix. It's not on every page but
it's on most.
I need help as well!!

Ditto for me. I found that that problem is with the
encoding. When you go to "View" then select encoding
you'll see which options are highlighted for you.

For me the problem pages come up encoded as Western
European (ISO)(CNN, for example). What you want is Western
European (Windows). When you make the switch, the page
will load correctly. Unfortunately, the change is not
saved and when you go to another web page the same thing
happens all over again. I don't know what to do either?
I think it must be an error in IE6 running Windows 98. It
is odd that I just started using the SBC DSL service, too.

I'm still looking for help!
