Graphics from Mac crash Powerpoint 2003 (XP SP4)

There is a Powerpoint file that I am able to open on other computers running
Windows XP, but it crashes on my machine. It is a simple file containing one
slide with one graphic. I've tried re-installing Office several times, as
well as all the service packs. Nada. Kind of at the end of my rope. Any
suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

1. how was the graphic imprted into PowerPoint? What steps?
2. What file type is it? (What is the file extention?)
3. What is diffent on your machine than the other XP machines? (Adobe,
Quicktime, other apps all the same?)

There may be a problem with a file that only shows on your machine due to
some small bug in PowerPoint.
Try these on some machine that the file opens on:
* Save it with Save As on another name
* Save it in another format, like Powerpoint 97-2003 Presentation

If you just want to keep the file:
* On one of the other machines, copy and paste the graphic to another PPT
presentation

Gents,

It turned out my icm32.dll file was corrupted, which was causing me troubles
in Word, Powerpoint, and Mathematica 7 (!), so once I got that fixed, all my
problems went away. Well, these, at least. Thank you for your responses.
