Graphics Don't Display Anymore - Just Small Red 'X'

Little graphics and icons used to display. For example, when you use IE to go to Yahoo, there are all sorts of little graphics on the page. Now, I get the little box with the red 'x' in it. What's causing this? How do I fix it? I can still mouse over where a graphic used to be, for example, in Yahoo, and am able to open Yahoo, but the graphics are all gone. I've tried restoring IE settings to the default ones, but it doesn't do anything. Any suggestions?

I have tried all of this. Is there any other suggestions
that are possible?

You may try:

* Performing a clean boot
* Disable third-partybrowser extensions, pop-ups killers and everything.
* For Windows XP, type "regsvr32 shimgvw" to fix the content type problems.

Well here is something that makes me wonder. If I take a good jpg and click
on it in "my computer" the jpg opens. If I place it in a e-mail and save it
as an html, when I click on the html doc, it opens with a little red x. If
I save it as an eml doc and I click on it, it will open with the graphic
showing. On the web page: http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k. That opens with
little red x's. I wonder is there is not something in the options for IE or
OE that could be causing the problem.
