Graphics Corruption after sleep mode or screensaver??

Hi. I'm running Vista Ultimate on a core2duo system with an EVGA 7900GT video
card. Vista runs great but when I leave my pc running and come back later, I
have corrupted graphics on the screen (either a white or green color with
lines running through it). I first thought it was just a sleep mode problem
and changed the power management settings to never sleep. After leaving the
computer long enough for the screen saver to kick in and the screen to turn
off, I checked it again and had the same problem.

Any ideas what could be causing this issue? Vista automatically downloaded
updated drivers for my video card.

Hi,

Have you tried uninstalling the updated drivers? They're obviously not
supporting the transition to the screensaver, so perhaps the original ones
did.

I'm having the exact same issue as kkjones and zero1. I have a XFX 7900GT on
a Gigabyte mobo. I've narrowed it down that it's 'turning off the display'
in the power settings that's doing it, and not the sleep mode. I've used the
Vista 64-bit drivers as well as the 100.65 drivers from Nvidia's website.
Nothing works.

Same problem with me.
HP dc7600 with Dual Core 3.0Ghz
1.0GB RAM / Vista Business 32
Nvidia Geforce 7900GT

Seems like Nvidia drivers coz I had a similar PC also running on Vista but
using the onboard Intel GMA. So far no problem with the graphic.
