graphic card update

i have a S3 Pro Savage graphic card and have downloaded
new drivers for it but when i try to install them a
message appears saying "Setup wa unable to complete the
installation.Check the progress login log in your Windows
directory for more details." Any suggestions on how to
solve this.

Go the manufacturers site for you graphics card and ask them or find a NG for
your manufacturer. {]:~)

Have you followed the manufacturer's directions on this? Some require
you remove the old drivers first, and/or install in safe mode.

Are you sure that you're installing the correct Windows XP
driver file for that make and model of graphics card?

If you are, try installing the latest version of DirectX,
or uninstall the version you have and then install an
earlier version such as 8.0, and then try installing the
drivers.
