Graphic card driver

I have problems with my graphic card driver. Now and then when I start my
computer, it doesnt load the correct graphic card driver. I get a yellow
question
mark in device manager. Often I can restore the correct driver but sometimes
I'll
have to reinstall the driver from scratch, indeed very annoying.

Have tried to uninstall the graphic card in device manager and restart the
computer.
It helps for the moment, but after a few startups the problem comes back.

Have also downloaded and installed the latest driver from ASUS but it doesnt
help.

Any ideas of what to do to cure the problem?

OS: WinXP SP3 fully updated
Graphic card: ASUS Geforce 8600GT 256 MB
Motherboard: ASUS P5B

This is a sign that the video card is failing. Swap it out for a
known-working one. If this solves the issue, replace the original card.
