Graph changes to blank!!

When I hide the columns where the data is stored for a graph, the graph
becomes blank. The graph is on the same worksheet as the columns with the
data. How do I still show the graph when the columns are hidden?
Thanks!

Hi,

You need to uncheck the option Plot Visible Cells Only.

Xl2003 or before:
Select the chart and then use menus Tools > Options > Chart > Plot Visible
cells only.

XL2007:
Select the chart and use Chart Tools > Design > Select Data > Hidden and
Empty cells > Show data in hidden rows and columns.

Cheers

Unhide the columns
Click on the chart to select it
On the Tools menu, click on Options

Why ignore? I Tried the earlier instruction to "remove the check mark from
Plot Visible Cells Only" and it worked.

Thanks!

Sorry, I meant that you could ignore the first line in my instructions,
which was "Unhide the columns"
That step isn't necessary.
