Grand Totals From Header Section

Hi Folks - I have a total in a group header. The field was originally in the
detail section, but I moved it so I would see only one total per grouping,
instead of seeing the total on every detail record. Now, I need a grand
total based on the group heading figure. When I use =sum(sumingroupheader)
in the report header, it sums all the detail totals, not just the figure in
the group header. Is there a way to sum just the number displayed in the
group header? Make any sense? Thanks in advance.

I knew I was not explaining well .... Let me start from scratch. I have a
query that lists application agencies, the amount they requested, a app
rater, and a app score. There are many raters that rate the applications.
I'm trying to create a report that lists applications by app agency, then by
rater. When I create the report via the wizard, the amount requested is in
the detail with the ratings. I move it to the agency header. This displays
the correct amount once. However, the data source still has a record for
each rater. So, if I have 3 raters for any agency, the grand total is seeing
3 records of the amount requested. Hence, my problem. I need the grand total
to sum just the number in the header. Nor sure I am any clearer .... Thanks.
