GPRS, Edge, 1G, 2G & 3G

Hi Guys

please tell me, is the difference between these 5 connection only on speed or is there any other differences?

please assist just for general knowledge

The 1G/2G/3G refers to the generation of mobile technology, of which GPRS and EDGE are 2.5G and 2.75G respectively. EDGE is faster than GPRS as a data connection, but there are many other differences between the generations. :)
