GPRS Disconnect Windows Mobile 6

news.microsoft.com

Hi,

I'm triyng to disconnect an open GPRS connection in my new Windows Mobile 6
device (HTC) but it doesn't work. I tried to use RAS
enumActiveConnections() to get the active connections, but it doesn't return
the active one, it doesn't return anything.

Then I tried with ConnectionManager ConnMgrEnumDestinations() but it returns
all of my configured connections, and not the active one.

Anyone can help me? I need to disconnect an automatically opened one...

Thanks, Juan

Why? Why do you need to disconnect it? Having it connected doesn't prevent
phone calls from being received, nor does it force you to send or receive
data via the connection...

Hello Paul:

I heard that the GPRS consumes a lot of battery, but i'm not sure of that
(there are a lot of confusing opinions about that). Anyway I would like to
know if it's possible to disconnect it.

Thanks, Juan

I'd test that before going off and breaking down connections made for the
user because you heard that. I don't see any reason why it would consume
any more battery than the GSM connection that is always there so that phone
calls can be made. You're not sending or receiving any data; I don't see
it. In any case, here's a thread from the archives that describes, in
general terms, what you can do:
