GPRS and web service problem

I have created a web service running on IS 6, and a client on Pocket pc 2003,
when I connect using the WLAN and PC internet connection it works great. WHen
I use the GPRS connection on PDA (via mobile phone over bluetooth) It works
the first time and then on consecutive times throws a webexception error:

WebException (status code 7 - I believe this is a 403 error from web server)
System.Net.HttpWebResponse

I cant seem to figure why the GPRS would cause a problem, any idea?

Thanks in advance

I have installed SP3 and no change, however I did read this on a different
post:

"This has been driving me mad for 3 weeks and it wasn't until I phoned up
Orange networks services to ask if any filtering or optimisations were
performed on the APN. Luckily I spoke to someone that knew what they were
talking about and with 5 minutes had given me a different APN name
("internetvpn" instead of "orangeinternet)" and a couple of SIM Updates and
hey presto my web services application works beautifully"

So i think i need to get onto o2 (my service provider) and orange too when
we test on orange.

Unless you know of something else, getting in touch with o2 is difficult!

Regards

John

Have you installed the latest SP [1]? There were some issues concerning

I am having the same problem..
If you come across any other information can you please post it.

I found this post

http://opennetcf.org/Forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1015

but after testing it doesnt seem to apply to me.

I am developing something for many users so i cant expect people to ring
there network provider if they have problems.

Thanks

Solution is to use the ip address of the webservice rather than the domain
name.
