GPO, registry, or process to halt service

The company I am working with has the beta client installed. I need to run
the exprofre.exe Outlook Profile update to change the Outlook profile after
a migration. Is there a way to kill a process, disable in a GPO, or use a
script to modify the registry in order to halt the spyware program in order
to successfully execute the profile updater?

There was a go-round about this in, perhaps, another group earlier. You
might search on the key "taskkill."

I think the idea was to use taskkill to kill the antispyware-related
processes by name.
