GPO issue

We have about 25 sites, on our Company. In three different
sites, when I'm running gpotool.exe, I got the following
error: Version mismatch on servername, DS=1704139,
sysvol=917696.
I did not found any replication error. For some reson on
these three sites we are not getting the default domain
GPO. I check the GPO GUI, and it match which the default
domain GPO GUI. That meens that it was working before.
Please, any ideas.

This can be a tough one to diagnose without knowing alot more info about
your topology, error messages, etc. Some things to check: Has anything
changed lately? Firewall rules exist? VPN settings changed? DNS resolution
and do the SRV records exist? Can you ping the DC from there? Is there a DC
there? A GC over there? WAN speeds?

Also, run:

dcdiag /v
negtdiag /v /fix

And see if there are any errors on those machines.
