GPMC views

When i try to edit a group policy in the GPMC on anything other than a Domain
controller i can't see any other sub sections underneath user
\configuration\Windows Settings except 'remote installation services', I
can't see scripts, security settings, folder redirection, internet exploroer
maintenance. All of these items only appear when i am editing on the actual
domain controller.

Also, when i open up a GPO to edit it on the domain controller i get a whole
bunch of error windows that say 'the following entry in the [strings] section
is too long and have been truncated' then a line and 'This policy
setting.......' with an explanation of the setting. I get over 20 of them, i
just keep clicking the OK button and once they are all gone i can go in and
edit the policy. This does not happen on a non-domain controller PC using the
GPMC.
