gpedit problem

[Crazyeyes]

When i run gpedit.msc now i have lost all folders under administrative
templates - windows components. There is nothing there now except windows
media player.
This is the case both in computer configuration and user configuration. Also
windows components is the only folder there.
There should be windows components, system, network and also printers under
computer config.

Any idea to what has caused this ?

Steps taken already: 1 scanned for viruses - Clean
2 Run sfc /scannow - did not help.

Start | Run | gpedit.msc | OK |
Right click Administrative Templates | Add/Remove Templates...

[[If you want to add a template, click Add. In the Policy Templates dialog
box, click the template that you want to add, and then click Open.

In the Add/Remove Templates dialog box, click Close. ]]

There are seven choices on my machine, I don't
have 'em all figured out yet:
conf.adm = NetMeeting
inetcorp.adm = IE
inetres.adm = IE
inetset.adm = IE
system.adm = System
wmplayer.adm = Windows Media Player
wuau.adm =

They are files ending in adm located in:
C:\WINDOWS\inf
