Google SketchUp (free) is an easy-to-learn 3D modeling program that enables
you to explore the world in 3D. With just a few simple tools, you can create
3D models of houses, sheds, decks, home additions, woodworking projects -
even space ships. And once you've built your models, you can place them in
Google Earth, post them to the 3D Warehouse, or print hard copies.

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/
The new 3D Warehouse is an online location where you can find and share 3D
models.

aggregate usage statistics for the Software.
.... The unique application number is required for the Software to work and
cannot be disabled. Google will not be responsible or liable for the

limitation digital rights management functionality) contained in the
Software,
...
[ Just what what does this mean? Not intent, this is a license, what do the
words
actually say?
It seems to say I cannot touch the source.
Or maybe I cannot download the exe, transfer it through a dozen machines
and transfer the content to another drive , install it, or copy it to
backup media.
Anyway, it seems it is not freely distributable.
]

4. AUTOMATIC UPDATES
The Software may communicate with Google servers from time to time to check
for available updates to the Software, such as bug fixes, patches, enhanced
functions, missing plug-ins and new versions (collectively, "Updates"). By
installing the Software, you agree to automatically request and receive

[ No obvious way to turn updates off.
There is an option to check for updates which may be
what #4 refers to, or not.]

If it has anything to do with Google, I smell a rat. There always seems
to be some kind of privacy problem. My suggestion is to read the EULA
before using it. Unfortunately, you can't READ that EULA before
installing the program.

I'll pass on this one. Just like I passed on Google Toolbar. I like
their search page, but loath their "software".

I don't reply to trolls like Andy Mabbett or Doc (who uses sock puppets)
for instance. No adware, cdware, commercial software, crippleware,
demoware, nagware, PROmotionware, shareware, spyware, time-limited
software, trialware, viruses or warez for me, please.

Take all the tutorials http://sketchup.google.com/tutorials.html
to see its functionality, and then tell me if you are not impressed with
this free product (if not just for the documentation).

Thanks, I haven't used the program, and I'll admit that the tutorials
seem to demonstrate an easy to use program, but my objection to
installing it remains that I would like to be able to read the EULA and
privacy policy for the program first.
