Google Task bar won't work with SP 2

I had a Google window on my Task Bar (GoogleTaskBar.exe) before installing
SP 2. After SP 2 the Google window that was used to insert the item to be
searched for no longer allows something to be typed there. I tried right
clicking the Task Bar, choosing Toolbars and clicking add quick search...
but now it only puts a search item on the Task Bar that doesn't accept
entries. Anyone else have this problem?

I still can't get the Google Window to show on my Task Bar. I was, however,
able to find GoogleToolbarInstaller.exe, which puts a new Toolbar in my
Internet Explorer window that allows me to do almost the same thing. I'll
let you know what I think of it.

Google Toolbar worked for me with SP! and I see no
difference in operation with SP2.

They are 2 different programs. Yes, Google Toolbar works fine for me in SP
2. That's not what I was discussing. My problem was with the Google
TASKbar program which puts a date/time rectangle on the Task Bar. When you
mouse click in the time area it allows you to type in a search item. When
you hit Enter it fires up IE, opens Google, and shows the search results for
that item. When I couldn't get that to work using SP 2, I Googled and found
the Google TOOLbar program which works fine with SP 2. It just requires one
additional step compared to the Google TASKbar program. I have to start up
IE myself and then type in my search item in the Google search window on the
IE TOOLbar's Google area.

I've got the taskbar thing on several computers updated to SP2 and it works
fine on all.
