Google Analytics

So now the Google Analytics is FREE. In order to use it, I have to add a few
lines of scripts into the header of each page that I want it to be looked at.

The problem is that Google Analytics code has to be after the <head>, <meta>
tags and before the </head> tag, and my web site uses share boarder and
theme. FrontPage automatically puts share boarder and theme meta tag as the
last two lines of the header (right before the </head> line). It doesn't
matter where I move those lines, as soon as I have the file, it comes right
back to the end of the header.

Anyone has any idea how to work around this issue (other than not using the
share boarder and theme)?

Have you tried inserting to see if it works, as you will not be able to change how FP insert the
meta tags for themes and shared borders. If it doesn't work, and you really want to use it, you will
have to give up using themes, and you can switch to using the FP Include Page component in place of
shared borders or if using FP2003, switch to using Dynamic Web Templates.

Thanks Thomas.

I found an easy work around for this issue. Open the file using notepad and
insert the code.

However, the next time you open the page in FP or run Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks FP is likely to
change the code back.
