Hi all -

Ok...I finally upgraded to a Intel Duo. But, my computer does the
following
every time I go to boot up :

START

1) powers on, hard disks spin, DVD spins
2) does nothing else

Retry #1-5 (my record was 7)

Repeat as in START or

3) shows bios screen
4) quits or

5) Windows startup screen, halts

or

6) Windows startup screen
7) user login screen, halts

or

8) fails to load windows, halts

Whew...But! When the system does start, and windows loads,
I get no problems whatsoever. Everything works fine.
Just takes me 10+ minutes to get going.

Here is my equipment :

ASUS P5PE-VM Motherboard
Intel Core Duo 6400 2.13Ghz
1 Western Digital Hard Drive 200 GB
1 Western Digital Hard Drive 160 GB
1 Lite-On DVD RW LH-18A1P
2 DIMM 512 MB RAM
1 ATI Radeon 9600 All In Wonder

Ugh. Sorry for the long post. It drives me nuts
that I can't geek on demand anymore.

Suggestions? Thanks.

It's possible that you are using a 'cheap' and/or underpowered power supply
unit that is causing those symptoms. What PSU are you using?

It's and ISO 400D.

The label says that I'm getting 15A out of the 12V line.

Thanks again.
