Good File Manager For a Low-End System: Xplorer2

Overcast

Hello,

I've been testing free file management software on a low-end system
(P200MMX). The best one that I found so far is Xplorer² Lite v1.0.0.3
[8.Aug.2004], which can be found here:

http://netez.com/xplorer2/x2lite.htm (575 kB)

Xplorer² Lite is free for private and academic use. It is stable and has
all the basic features.

These are other good freeware filemanagers that I tried. They offer
similar or more features, but I dropped them for Xplorer² Lite:

FileAnt (too big)
http://www.fileant.com/

Servant Salamander 1.52 (no internal editor)
http://www.altap.cz/salam_en/freeware.html

Turbo Navigator 1.47 (slower loading than xplorer²).

I liked xplorer lite so much I registered the pro version. Not so much
because the lite version was inadequate, more to support the developer.
Very good support on the xplorer forum.

You left out my favorite, the free version of Powerdesk.

(don't worry about the "Free_Trial" in the link; there are no time limits.
