I am self myself access. I picked up Microsoft "Step by Step" for Access
2003, it was a start but I need the next step up. Can I get a
recommendation on a few good manuals.

I just bought (not delivered yet) 'Micosoft Office Access Inside Out' by John Viescas. I hear very good things about the author

You'll be happy with this book. It is one of the better Access books.

Another good book for advanced users is the Access Developer's Handbook.
Unfortunately, there is no version for Access 2003, but the 2002 and earlier
versions cover most of what you'll need to know.
