Hello all. I admit it I am a Muppet!!
I couldn't wait the couple of days before my broadband was connected to
download a big file. Problem was, my unmetered access got cut after 2 hours,
which was less time than I needed, so I installed Go! Zilla download
manager, and now it wont go away.
I removed the program as soon as I could, and deleted the left over files,
but if I right click anwhere using IE6, in the menu appears an option to
"download with Go! Zilla"
Does anyone know how I can make it go away withou having to use system
restore!
Many thanks,
Des

You could try reinstalling it and the uninstall it again
(http://www.gozilla.com/faq.htm#faq22,
http://www.gozilla.com/faq.htm#ts11). Otherwise, do a search in the
registry for "Go!Zilla" or just "zilla" and report back what registry
keys and data values have this string in them. If it isn't obvious to
you which registry key(s) or data items can be deleted to purge Go!Zilla
from your system, it might be obvious to us.

Hi, I tried re-installing then uninstalling but it made no difference.
Silly question, but how do I search my registry?

Many many thanks, I found how to look in the registry and found an IE menu
extension item and took it out! There are still some other odds and ends
with go!zilla in them, but they haven't done anything that I know of, so I'm
happy.
I've also used SpyBot to take out some other bits.
(Still look like Kermit though LOL)

Try to use this product from Tonec Inc in future. It is called
Internet Download Manager. It has resume feature and mush more easier
and stable then Go!Zilla . I used it without any problems and
downloaded tons of demos and updates.

Since DD now has a broadband connection (GoZilla was used in the interim
before he got broadband), not much need for a download manager and many
just get in your way. Even if a download fails, it won't take long to
redownload the whole thing.
