hi:
i use VIA system to run the xpe;
when only in minlogon mode,it is ok;
and when in winlogon mode,in coming into the welcome logon it wait a long
time(about 5min);
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions?
and when i add the "windows logon",check dependencies;it need "Winlogon
Support Files" component,but the studio does not include;why????????

zebing zhou,

"Winlogon Support Files" component has a visibillity level 50. With TD
Options you won't be able to set Min Visibility less than 100. There is,
however, a way to lower the XPe Tools min visibility by changing it in
registry ([HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Embedded\Target
Designer],"MinVisibility").
It is really strange that you get the message. I can imagine getting the
error only if you manually removed the component from your Configuration
(unlikely as you don't see it in TD) or you have not auto-resolved
"WinLogon" dependecies.

Regarding you "long winlogon delay" problem... First resolve all the
dependencies in your Configuration and see if it helps. Also, add a
processor component that closely match your hardware. That may help.

Thanks for you help,and let me understand why it view "Winlogon Support
Files";
i will try the other;and i am also puzzled about why that when i use other
system(not the same system,it is intel68II series),the question is not
appeat;and here it.......

zebing,

I am sorry I don't know why you see the error. I haven't see the error on my
builds.
When you use the VIA platform do you have "Windowss Logon (Standard)"
component in your Configuration?
Also, do you have Auto-resolve Dependency option turned on in TD?

zebing,

Are you asking why you image slows down at winlogon time?
Have you tried the suggestions I pointed out previously (processor and
resolving all dependencies)?

Also, you can use Kernel Debugger to get more info about your runtime
problems.

You can use BootVis tool from MS.

It will show you how long does it take for each driver, service, etc to
load.
