Almost after one month when I tried to check mails on gmail account with
Oulook express getting the following error message.

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Gmail', Server:
'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error:
10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

what is the solution?

Trish

Login to Google Mail using a browser, go to settings and make sure
the POP option is enabled. Also check your security software and
see if email scanning is enabled. One other item to consider is the
default server time-out value ( 30 Second minimum ).

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.
