Are you sure you only have one copy of normal.dot (by default a hidden file
in recent Word versions)? That file should be in the folder indicated at
tools > options > file locations > user templates.

My web site www.gmayor.com

Whenever I open MS Word, and close either MS Word or Outlook, I get a pop-up
that says "The global template, NORMAL.DOT, is already open as an add-in
program. "

I've tried everything to make it go away. I only have one copy of Normal.dot
on my system, so I don't think it's booting with Start Up.

Any ideas?

Make sure there is not a copy of Normal.dot in Word's Startup folder.

No, MS Word is not my e-mail editor. And I've re-installed Office twice.

I've compared all settings with my desktop PC and they appear the same. The
desktop is not having the same problem.
