global find and replace

Is there a way to change one name to another through all
the documents in a folder? Used to be possible in
simpler word processing programs. Thanks.
 
I've got a friend who sent me an email - here's the content
A staff member used one of the HHARP computers last night and apparently used the " find and replace", however, when we try to use the computer either in a new word doc. or a documant already on the disk, the computer is not allowing us to use the enter key or scroll down without the "find and replace" box coming into view and we can't get past it. Is there a way to cancel the "find and replace box"? or...............
We're stuck
Any thoughts
