Give space to primary partition

S

Scott

I just shrinked about 12 GB as drive K from drive C and would like to give
it to drive D. Drive K is logical partition and D is primary partition.
How can I merge them together? Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

First, you cannot merge them, only reallocate space. Second, as K: is a
logical volume, you would need to be able to shrink not only it but the
extended partition that houses it. I am not sure if disk manager can do this
(but a third party product can). The freed space can then be consumed by
expanding D:.
