Gigabit Question

I just set up a gigabit home network but I am not getting the speeds I would
like.
I cannot get faster than 150Mbit/sec.

Are there any tweaks/settings I should check?

I am using a NetGear gigabit switch and network card as well as a Dell
Latitude with a Broadcom Gigabit card built in.
I am using brand new Cat6 cables.

Thanks

I was using the task manager in windows, but then I tried AnalogX NetStat
Live.

I will try these

That's probably about right. A gigabit connection is a theoretical maximum
speed, not a maximum sustained speed. Many gigabit cards can only maintain
a 200mbps to 250mbps sustained transfer rate.
