Gif89.dll (Animate Forms) Changed Global Menu, Cant use in Design View Anymore, HELP !!!

D

Dave Elliott

I downloaded a file named gif89.dll to animate my forms and registered it in
the registry.
Now I cant use my Design Button when I open my forms.
It gives me a error message , cant find FDesign CallBack Function !
This occurs even with a db without the module.
The Module is named ModFormAnimate
It has screwed up Access big time.

Any Suggestion on how to fix this ?

Hi Dave:

Here are 2 suggestions-

1) If you load up your MS Office CD I think it has an option to "repair"
your setup;

2) If you click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Folder Options,
then click on "File Types" then you should see if the following settings are
still connected:

- MDN = Microsoft Access Blank Database Template
- ADN = Microsoft Access Blank Project Template
- MAF = Microsoft Access Form Template

(Click on the heading "File Types" to alphabetize the various file types,
and thus see all of the Microsoft stuff.)

Regards,
Al
