Hello,

We are moving to ThinkPads and I have started playing with imaging
them. I am unable to create an image that takes the hidden partition
and adds it to the image.

When I restore the image on the same laptop, the hidden parition
disappears.

Does anybody have any experience ghosting thinkpads so that the hidden
parition and the windows partition and copied to the image and when
restored, both paritions are restored?

Thanks

You must "unhide" this hidden area before successfully using Ghost to image the hard drive.
Please see the following instructions:

Carey,

Thank you very much. I though I did unhide the partition and used
ghost -ib last time but I will give it another shot.

Carey,

I'm a bit confused. After reading this document it seems that when
restoring an image, it is a 2 step process?

If I use the ghost -ib, do I need to use the FWBACKUP and FWRESTOR?

Thanks,
Mario
