Ghosting or scroll lock

D

Doug

I believe I have a ghosting problem. I click on a
worksheet and try to
enter data. It won't allow anything and I can't right
click as well. I then move the mouse and the next field
is highlighted and continues to highlight each cell. I
move to another file and it will do the same thing. I
can't open any options in File, View, Edit, etc. The only
way to close the file is the go to the ctrl alt delete and
end the excel task. Once in word, I am okay. I have a
laptop and same thing happens with my scroll button so it
isn't my mouse. I have tried a link about this problem
that many excel users talked about which was informative
but didn't solve the issue. Is it possible the program is
corrupted?

Hi Doug!

Try pressing the F8 key as maybe the extended mode is enabled.

If this does not help have a look at
