Ghost in my computer!

Greetings,

thanks for reading...

I am experiencing a major problem. After contracting
some type of virus, which it seems i have now fully
removed, my computer now seems to have a "ghost" user.
Though I sign on as "Andy" at start-up, all the
settings/options/etc. are as if I am a totally new user
(fresh "my documents" folder, etc.) Every time I restart
my computer, though I again sign in as "Andy", the
desktop is cleaned off, and all the settings/options are
reset again. Anything that was on the desktop, then
appears in: C/Documents and Settings/TEMP.Andy.
Everything that I had on the desktop before this problem,
still appears in C/Documents and Settings/Andy/Desktop.

Any suggestions? I VERY much appreciate any help
(ghostbusters).

Andy,

You say you had a Virus, do you know which one, and did you remove it
correctly?. If you know the name this would be a great help
