"Ghost" email addresses

T

Tanya

I am experiencing "Ghost" email addresses appearing in
the "To" field when the autocheck feature is on.

These email addresses do not appear in "Contacts" nor do
they appear in the "Outlook Address Book".

Does anyone know where Outlook is getting these email
addresses from?

Thanks,
Tanya

Thanks Russ -

I've checked the send/receive options to turn this
feature off, but couldn't find anything. Is there a way
to disable this?

Alternatively, is there a way to have Outlook check
Contacts to verify the address before the message is
sent? ie. if the address in not in contact - please
choose/ please add/ delete?

Thanks, Tanya

Disable autocompletion here:
Tools > Options > Preferences > E-mail Options... > Advanced E-mail
options... > Suggest names while completing...

Enable autoresolution in the same place:
Automatic name checking
