I created a document in word, and in print layout and
print preview only an annoying couple of border marks
appear(a backward L on either side of doc),near the top.

I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of them
to no avail. They don't show up in printing,so it's just
an annoyance.

Thx in advance, Tim

These "crop marks" result from having enabled support for an Asian language.
Go to Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools | Microsoft Office <version>
Language Settings and disable it.
