getting rid of runat=server !!!

Hi,

Is there a way to get rid of runat="Server" in my custom controls?

I want to make my code cleaner if this is possible.

Why do you need to get rid of them to make your code cleaner?

You can't get rid of that, as that's the flag to the ASP.NET parse that they
are to be treated as server controls, rather than content.
